Palma has three marinas that can accommodate you for short stays – Club de Mar, Real Club Nautico de Palma and Marina Port de Mallorca. All three of them sit next to each other along the Paseo Maritimo, just a few minutes walk from the city centre with its beautiful cathedral, elegant shops and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. Palma’s marinas are all well-equipped to deal with the nearly 2,000 boats that are berthed there. There are usually visitors’ berths available but it is a good idea to phone ahead.
Puerto Portals – 34 971 171 100 – 39.32’1” N – 2.34’8” E
Puerto Portals is the place to be seen in Mallorca. Although originally designed to accommodate large yachts, the harbour has a total capacity of 670 moorings with sizes ranging from 8×3 metres to 80 metres L.O.A.Puerto Portals has also become well known for its exclusivity and unparalleled choice of designer shops and luxurious holiday apartments surrounding the port. The marina is lined with trendy bars and a large variety of restaurants, making it a fun place to spend an evening celebrity-spotting.

 

Port Adriano –  34 971 232 494 -39.29’6” N – 2.28’3” E
With its new multi-million euro extension, Port Adriano has become a major marina in the Balearics, offering excellent services and facilities. It has 404 moorings of between six and 18 metres in length, a refit and repair area and 4,500 square metres. of commercial area. Its remodelling has involved the addition of new mooring berths for yachts of up to 60 metres, the enlarging of the dry dock and a new commercial area designed by Philippe Starck.
Club Nautico Santa Ponsa – 34 971 694 950 – 39.31’ N – 2.28’5” E
West of the Bay of Palma is the attractive and well-protected marina of Santa Ponsa. It makes a welcome escape from the boats jostling for anchorage space in the bays along the coast in high season! The narrow harbour is bordered by green trees and the marina is well-equipped and even has live music in one of its restaurants on a Sunday. The very popular holiday resort of Santa Ponsa is on the south west coast of Mallorca approximately 20km, or 12 miles west, of the capital Palma.

 

Puerto de Andratx – 34 971 672 337 – 39.32’5” N – 2.22’5” E
Puerto de Andratx is a picturesque town only 25km from Palma with a long and enclosed bay and lush, green mountains rising up behind it. This pretty port is the place to go for a tranquil evening sipping sangria and eating paella. The Club de Vela is well sheltered on the northern side of the bay with excellent facilities but usually a limited number of berths for cruising yachtsmen. You may find a space on the town quay instead and in settled weather it is possible to anchor in the outer harbour.
Puerto de Soller – 34 971 633 316 – 39.47’8” N – 2.41’1” E
This harbour forms the only real bolthole on the northwest coast of Mallorca and the entrance is well marked by the lighthouses at Cabo Gros and Punta de Sa Creu. Sometimes there is space for visiting boats on the town quay, otherwise you can anchor in sand and mud in the bay itself. There is a regular tram service from the port to the town of Soller a few kilometres away.

 

Puerto Pollensa – 34 971 672 337 – 39.54’4” N – 3.05’2” E
This port manages to retain its fishing village charm as tourists and locals alike wander up and down between the yachts among the vast array of restaurants and bars. With 375 moorings for yachts up to 25 metres, an onsite sailing school, swimming pool and a restaurant able to cater for all manner of celebrations, the Club Nautico is a perfect choice for stays in the north of the Island.
Alcudiamar – 34 971 546 000 – 39.5’’ N – 3.08’5” E
The two capes that border the Alcudia bay: Cap de Pinar and Cap Ferrutx provide good protection for visiting boats in all weather. The entrance to Alcudiamar is easy with a well-marked channel. There is a wide range of resources here that make this port extremely attractive, including ample moorings and a wide selection of bars and restaurants and nautical services.

 

Porto Colom – 34 971 824 658 – 39.24’7” N – 3.16’1” E
This is the best natural harbour on the island with a seabed of mainly mud and sand. The two floating pontoons near the fishing quay offer showers, as well as water and electricity. The Club Nautico itself, at the end of the bay, offers a great setting but is not very deep.
Marina Cala d’Or – 34 971 657 070 –  39.22’1” N – 3.14’0” E
The Marina Cala d’Or is actually situated in Cala Llonga, which is well protected from all winds except a strong Easterly. A channel of green and red buoys mark the entrance. It is considered as one of the most pleasant ports on the east coast, with over 500 moorings and ample offshore berthing available as well as a wide range of services. There is a large selection of restaurants plus a shopping area.
